STUDENT ASSOCIATION OF GRADUATES IN ENGLISH
Here at Student Association of Graduates in English, we are driven by a single goal; to do our part in giving the Graduate Students in the English program at UW the support they need. We strive to build community, provide support, and advocate for the students in our department.
WAYS WE HELP
Meaningful Work. Unforgettable Experiences.
As graduate students in English, SAGE understands how vulnerable its membership can be, especially when it comes to bringing issues unique to English Grad students to the department and the larger University administration. SAGE strives to advocate on behalf of its membership to ensure that they, too, have a voice.
Driven by our desire to build the English Graduate community and bring us all closer together, SAGE creates spaces and events that are cultivated with attention to ableism, racism, sexism and all other -isms as endorsed by our general membership.
SAGE strives to support its membership by any means necessary, including filling the gaps of information not provided to the membership through other avenues at the university. We also seek to support students through validating their experiences. Your lived experience expertise is expertise, and your viewpoint will be treated the same as any other forms of knowledge dissemination and research profligation
"There is no greater agony than bearing an untold story inside you."
